Trial Dates.
Retrievers.
Novice, Monday, 11th October. Catton Park.
One-Day Open, Thursday, November 11th. Radbourne, Derby.
All Aged, Wednesday 12th January. Bretby.
Spaniels.
Novice Cocker, Monday, November 15th. The Maer Shoot, Staffordshire.
Open ESS, Friday, November 26th. Longner, Shropshire.
All Aged Cocker, Friday, December 10th. Longner, Shropshire.
Novice A/V, Saturday, December 18th. The Maer Shoot, Staffordshire.
It may seem strange that we have an All Aged Cocker Trial and here is the reason!
We have applied to hold an Open Cocker Stake and the idea is that when permission is granted
(and the chances are that it will be) we will change the licence to an Open.
The qualification we have used for our All Aged is the same as Open, so if you have an Open Cocker,
just enter as if you were entering an Open Stake. Hopefully, we will know if we have been sucessful before
schedules are available so it won't cause any problems.
All Trial schedules and nomination forms will be available shortly.

The
Lintran Trophy.
Each year at our Annual General Meeting, we award the
Lintran Trophy,
presented by Frank Hopkins of Lintran, to the person we consider has
contributed to the success of our club during the previous year.
This year the trophy was awarded to TWO
people whose services are invaluable.
Elizabeth Bedford and Melissas Stubbs, our joint Spaniel Field Trial
Secretaries, are responsible for the organisation and running of all
our
Spaniel Field Trials and generally speaking, their hard work goes
un-noticed.
We are extremely lucky to have Liz and Melissa and very much
appreciate their hard work.
We hope this award goes some way to acknowledge their efforts.
20 - 20 Vision!
Our
annual eye clinic at Rolleston Park attracted 60 dogs and EVERY ONE
passed!
John Goodyear MRCVS, said it demonstrated
that the annual eye test was worthwhile
and proved that the scheme was encouragimg owners to breed responsibly.
Either that or we were just very lucky!
John examined 40 Labradors, 5 Golden Retrievers, 14 Cocker/Springer
Spaniels
and 1 German Wire Haired Pointer.
We are extremely grateful to Mike, Rosemary and Chris Thompstone
for allowing us to use Rolleston Park for this event which
has become an integral part of our calendar.

£1000 reward for stolen dogs.

These
two Cockers were stolen from Claydon, North Buckinghamshire on
December
31st at 10 a.m.
Please ring Paul on 07793 601523 with any information
which may lead to the return of these much loved dogs.
It is thought that as these dogs were well known locally, they will
have been
moved out of the area and could appear anywhere in the country.
