Results of our Annual Match with the Pennine Training Area of The Northern Golden Retriever Association held at Rolleston Park on Sunday August 23rd.

This event usually attracts a certain amount of friendly banter and rivalry and this year was no exception. Our Judges started the day with Puppies and Novice judging one group each and then alternating through four thoughtful Tests. All dogs were tested in line and walking-up with the regular team of Dove Valley Stewards providing plenty of support to keep the Tests rolling along smoothly.
The Open dogs were tested after lunch with quite demanding work in stubble, rough pasture and woodland. After a very close fought contest, the Dove Valley Team came out on top winning the Inter Club Shield, and Polly Gibb's tidy Chocolate Lab taking the honours for Top Dog overall.
