Judges.

Yours Truly, Sally Antram, John Kahlow and David Brown.
(Kerrie Morton was originally scheduled to Judge this Test but had to withdraw due to illness and was replaced by John Kahlow,
and I stepped in as an extra because of the large entry).

A fine and bright but windy and cold Easter Sunday greeted everyone for our first Retriever Test of the season at
Bradley Old Park, Ednaston, the home of Mr and Mrs James Player. This is a beautiful country estate and a fine shoot
with some wonderful spots to set up Tests. John Mee had worked hard to create authentic scenarios for our field of 7
Veterans and 40 Novice dogs, 2 of which were handled by juniors - one only 7years of age! Tests ranged from single marks,
blinds, water and walking-up, and with 8 Tests in all, everyone was kept busy. A run-off was needed to split dogs in both the
Novice and Veteran, and after carefully adding up the scores, the results were announced, with last years runner-up,
Tim Brain, winning the Novice, Sally Plant winning the Veteran, and 7 year old Cyrus Kerfoot, the Young Handlers.
This was a fine start to our Retriever Working Test season and a big thank you to Mr and Mrs Player for once again
allowing us to use their ground.
