- Only
fully paid up members of the Club are eligible to submit nominations
and entries for Field Trials although members may deputise the handling of a dog to a non-member. In this case,
the handler’s name must appear on the entry form.
The order of the draw will be the running order of the stake. Priority in
the draw will be given to established members over new members, i.e.
those joining in the current Club year.
- In
Retriever Trials, no one may handle more than one dog. (J7g) In Spaniel
Trials, more than one nomination may be applied for but no one will be allowed to run a second dog until all
applicants who have returned their entry forms have been offered a run.
Separate cheques
for each entry please. Post dated cheques will not be accepted. Please
make cheques payable to DVWGC.
- Nomination
forms and entry forms must be in the hands of the Field Trial Secretary
by the dates given on the nomination/entry form. Anyone unable to take up a nomination MUST notify the FT Secretary by
telephone.
- Any
applicant withdrawing within 7 (seven) days of the stake will forfeit
entry fee unless a veterinary or proof of mating certificate is produced or when
the dog entered qualifies out of Novice
Stakes, or when a dog, having gained it’s FTCH title, is withdrawn to allow someone
else to run.
- Substitution
for similarly qualified dogs will be allowed.
- If a Field is cancelled, entry fees, less expenses incurred by the
Club, will be refunded.
- Reserves
will be substituted for absentees at advertised time for the start of
the Trial. Competitors must report to the Chief Steward 15 minutes
before the time for the start of the Trial. The Trial will be deemed to
have started when announced by the Chief Steward. At this time, all competing dogs
and handlers must be present.
- All
Field Trials will be held under Kennel Club rules and Field Trial
regulations and thereafter, at the discretion of the Judges.
- A
bitch in season or any dog suffering from any infection or contagious
disease will not be permitted to be present and must be
removed from the ground.
- No
dogs, other than those competing or fulfilling an official capacity
will be allowed at the Trial.
- All
persons are to check with the Chief Steward before exercising their
dogs. Please clean up after
your dog in yards and car parks etc
- Winners
of Trophies are responsible for their safe keeping, the costs incurred
for engraving and the return of the Trophy/Trophies before the next trial at
which they are to be awarded.
- The
Club reserves the right to refuse entries. (J7d)
- Competitors
and spectators must, at all times, obey the instructions of the Steward
of the Beat, the Red flag Steward, the Chief Steward
and the Judges and are required to conduct themselves in a
manner which does not adversely affect the Trial.
- Competitors
are required to report to the Chief Steward or one of the Judges prior
to leaving trial ground.
- Persons
and dogs attending Field Trial meetings do so entirely at their own
risk.
Please ensure out of courtesy that ALL MOBILE
PHONES are locked safely in your vehicle and not
taken onto the field.
