28th March 2026 - Retriever Puppy, Novice Dog/Novice Handler and Novice Working Test

We are thrilled to report that we had our first Dove Valley Gundog Club Working Test for this season on 28th March; for Puppy/ NDNH/ Novice held at Bradley Old Parks, Brailsford near Ashbourne by kind permission of Mr M Samworth and family & Mr R Hidderley

Despite some truly appalling weather conditions, our competitors showed incredible dedication and sportsmanship. We witnessed some fantastic performances and while there were some who didn’t place this time, every competitor gave their best. And hopefully took some positives from the day.

Many thanks to our judges Stewart North, Jane Fairclough, Carol Probert, Jackie Martin and Jane Sizer for their patience and guidance particularly as we managed a large entry across all stakes. Your support and enthusiasm is absolutely pivotal to its success.
