Spaniel Training Classes

Training Class Details

Our Spaniel training for 2026 will be held at Somersal Herbert, this is a very good ground with different covers for us to train in.

Our Trainers for 2026 are Bill Parkinson and Graham Burton.

Training will run weekly from Wednesday 13th May 2026 for 6 weeks with the final week being a mock test.

Dogs must be non reactive in company and walking sensibly on a lead to be included.

As usual we will have two groups, one aimed at more novice handlers or dogs and an open group when applying, please let us know what group you would like to join, should yo be unsure please contact Jacob Henry who will be able to talk this though with you.

 

Places are limited so please register as soon as possible.

 

A newcomer/puppy group will be announced soon once a trainer is confirmed.

Training classes are £90 in total for all 6 evenings. We will only take bookings for the whole course.  If you are unable to make any particular session, please let the   organiser know, however, the whole course must be paid for.

Handlers will be divided into 3 groups depending on ability.

Class 1 For handlers and dogs who are new to the sport or those who are not planning to train for Working Tests or Field Trials, this unique course delivers invaluable training and knowledge on Beating, Etiquette and Field Craft by an experienced trainer and Gamekeeper.

Class 2 will cater for handlers who wish to compete in either Working Tests and/or Field Trials.

Class 3 will cater for the more experienced handler wanting to improve their skills and add to their knowledge.
