Another successful Trial for the Dove Valley team and all competitors today, albeit rather damp in the air spirits were high and Matt Smith at Bretby gave everyone a great day of sport.
Entries for this event were high, and the card easy to fill so late in to the season, for that I am hugely grateful. A fabulous team of guns, all of which contribute so much, Julia Bott, Jon Fern, Philip Walton and Adam Hall. Our trusty helpers were once again out in force, many thanks to Heather Clarke, Helen Fern, Maria Kavanagh, Sam Sears, Jacob Henry and Doug Ingall picking up. Huge thanks to Jane Burton for her help today as Chief Steward, I always know the Trial is in good hands with Jane at the helm.

This is my last trial as Spaniel Field Trial Secretary, and I would like to thank all those who have helped me along the way! I had barely been to a field trial when I took on the role, just happened to own a spoilt cocker; that’s the criteria apparently! There are many people who have supported, helped, and made sure everything runs smoothly, but particular mention to Graham Burton, Jane Burton and Julia Bott, I have loved learning from you all and hope to continue to do so with the Dove Valley Trials, Tests and Training. Good luck to Helen & Jon taking on the role; the Spaniel side of Dove Valley are in safe hands with you both!
